    Good idea

My son and his friend built this with ease and it was fun. It just wasn't able to stay standing up very well. Still great though.

Very fun project, parts are a little flimsy.

We loved building this one - and like usual we integrated the concepts and actual parts into several other designs over time. However, the cardboard parts would have been so much better as laser cut wood like we got with the trebuchet.

My sons favorite crate by far

He still uses it weeks later. He is 7 yrs old and needed some assistance but is very well explained and not to hard to assemble

    So much fun

My brother-in-law was so excited to receive this in the mail. My husband and I got this for him for his birthday. He asked for more! I like that it wasn't just directions to build something and that's all. It was so educational and he was able to learn ab

    Awesome

This was by far my favorite crate! I loved the concept and would love to learn more about engineering and learn about hydraulics in real life machines. One thing I would love to see is something about the golden spiral (Fibonacci) and how you can see it

    We love robotics!

That was cool! My son really liked the whole robotic aspect of it.

Lot's of fun! Lot's of build options!

My 5-year-old son begged for this kit and for the most part, it didn't disappoint! My only criticism would be that the parts and pieces are a bit flimsy. It's tough to make the claw not bend and bow due to the weight of the syringes necessary to operate the hydraulics. A bit sturdier clasps and claw pieces and this would be a 5 star for sure!

Amazing for my 6 year old!

I got this crate for my 6 year old and he absolutely loved it. I only had to help him a little bit. I think the learning experience is great with this project and the end result is so cool.

    Extended Learning

My grandson really loved this crate. He ended up making a hydraulic arm of his own dimensions. It is great that he extended the idea of the crate.

    Independent learning

The hydraulic crate was not overly complicated, our child needed very little help with setup, and taught him something they know very little about in 5th grade.

    Ways to improve

The only problem we have had was the flimsy Ness of some of the thin crane arms, between being stuck on the boxes thin bendy surface, how thin the arms are, and how heavy the water can be, it has a very hard time staying up straight while operating.

    Falls over, not sturdy

The concept of this is very cool but the materials don’t hold up. They cheap out and have you build this with card board pieces that can’t hold the weight of the syringes full of water. The thing is fallen over and doesn’t work well.

    Hands-on Learning

Taught about a real world concept that even engineers know about and use.
